Jimmy Choo: eau de parfum

A few weeks ago, I received a sample of Jimmy Choo's first perfume 'Jimmy Choo by Jimmy Choo'. As soon as I smelled it, I fell in love with it. When you spray it on, the first thing you smell is citrus, like orange and lemon and then, a little bit of pear. After a while it gives out its middle and base notes: patchouli, some orchid and the surprise and biggest plus of this perfume: sweet caramel toffee. It doesn't smell too sweet though, there's just enough sweetness in it. In reviews over the Internet, it's compared with Mademoiselle by Chanel and Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf.

The perfume is sweet and strong at the same time. It stays for a very long time, I could smell it for an entire day, which is not so with some of my other perfumes. It is a rather expensive perfume, but the price is still acceptable. The simple and yet fancy design of the bottle is inspired by Murano glass.

You can find Jimmy Choo by Jimmy Choo in 40 ml, 60 ml and 100 ml bottles, plus a shower gel and a body lotion. In Europe it's available at Sephora and Douglas, but I've also seen it at Ici Paris XL. In the United States, you can also go to Saks.

Maybelline Volum'Express One by One Mascara

I tested the Volum'Express One by One Mascara from Maybelline in blackest black, which promises more volume for your lashes without clumps. Their campaign shouts "finally, bold without the bulk!'
I liked the mascara, the color was black enough, the brush felt good and was good in use, but I have to admit: there were still clumps in my lashes...
But: I have noticed more volume, but ofcourse not as much as their promotion pictures show, but I thought it was enough for regular use (:

Giftcards to die for!

I was browsing trough the site of Urban Outfitters (a really nice shop by the way!), when I found this awesome giftcards with necklace and a cute message, like " You are deer to me" or " you are my cup of tea". Nice to give as a present or to receive yourself!

Me and Maria

Already heard of Me and Maria? It's the webshop for romantic vintage and original clothing from Kaat, who named the shop after her two grandmothers, Maria. Most of the collection is imported from the USA but there are also some European brands involved. The dresses and tops are absolutely very very cute! When you are a fan of vintage clothing, you definitely have to visit her site! I already spotted some nice tops and dresses. One disadvantage is that there aren't always all the pieces available in all sizes, so you have to be lucky to find that one thing in your size...But after all, they stay great! Go check it out!

what's hot now?

To be completely up-to-date with your look this spring, you have to try the combination of ballerina-soft with some rock-chick in it! A brand that totally understands this new look is Bourjois. Their soft pink eyeshadow and Effet Smokey Ultra Black eyepencil make a perfect match. The only thing left is to finish it off with some mascara (Mascara Volume Glamour), some blush (Blush Touce illluminatrice) and some natural looking lipstick (Sweet Kiss).

Wanna try this at home? Watch the videos and learn (;

wreck this journal - UPDATE 1

In this message I show you guys the first pictures of what I did to my WTJ. Ok, I admit it. It isn't really wrecked, but I wanted to throw my creativity in it, so that's what I tried do to. I tried already to wreck it, like throwing it through my garden. Or trough the classroom. Now it's a little wrinkled  ;)
Ok, so the pictures!

Oh yeah, I bought the Dutch version of WTJ because - apparently - they don't have the English version in our country and I was too lazy to buy one online.

all you need is...

I found some really cute pictures I HAD to share!

I am wrecking this journal!

Recently I bought a Wreck This Journal myself and I love destroying it! It's funny to see in what condition it was when I bought it, and now, not even a week later. It's a total MESS. I threw with it, I stepped on it,I brutally ripped pages out the book, I putted dirty fingerprints with charcoal in it and I let my friends draw something in it. Long story short: I had a GREAT time doing these instructions and there are many more! Maybe later on there will follow some pictures of my creative destroying ;-)
I even have convinced some friends to buy a WTJ themselfs.
So there's only one thing I can say, GO BUY ONE YOURSELF!! :D

To create is to destroy.

Wreck This Journal - Keri Smith
This book gives you the chance to do things with a book you normaly shouldn't. Make a mess of all the pages, throw it against the wall , spill coffee on it, take a shower with it, put dirty fingerprints in it!
Be a rebel and destroy your book!
The challenge is to accomplish all the instructions and once you're done, you can send it to yourself!
You can simply destroy it for fun, or you can throw all your creativity in it and make it into a precious memory! On the web you'll find lots of pictures that show what other people did with their WTJ!

Keri Smith wrote a sequel, This Is Not A Book, which is much more time-consuming and extended than WTJ. The instructions in this book stand closer to your inner self she said.
