DIY bracelet

Helloo there!

You have probably seen them already, the cute stacking bracelets from rope with little diamants or silver knotted in. I was in the Bauhaus in Germany, when I saw these chains and pink rope and I thought: 'BRACELETS TO BE'

I didn't know how to start making them, so I simply tied the rope around the chain. I made pictures to show you how!

I secured a loop on one end, so you can tie the bracelet around your arm.

Then I kept on knotting the rope around the chain,
so the little balls would peek out.

                                          And the final result!

Hope you enjoy this DIY!

Yves Rocher Hydrating Day Cream

Hey you!

When you read my article about the BB creams from Garnier, you also know I had to start using a more hydrating day and night cream. Because I didn't go to Yves Rocher for a long time (and I was curious about my annual birthday present haha, which was a cute little mirror ) I decided to buy my new cream there.

My attention was first drawn to the Pure Calmille products, because I love chamomile for its overall calming qualities. I often drink chamomile tea to calm myself, so I figured, this wouldn't be bad for my skin! Also, it counts as a day and night cream at the same time. A few days later I gave it a try and the first thing I noticed, was the smell. Whoa, overwhelming. It didn't smell bad, it just reminded me a little bit of the products my grandma always uses. It didn't bother me that much and I applied it. My skin felt immediately soft and it didn't leave a greasy layer on my face. But the smell, it stayed ALL day. I really hoped no one noticed I smelled like my granny haha. Overall: good product.

The next thing I saw were products from culture Bio with Aloe Vera, also one of natures treasures. Aloe is very hydrating, so I figured this one would be nice for the winter time, when my skin gets really dry. When I tried it, I fell in love with it. It is a bit hard to apply, because of its thick texture, but it sure hydrates your skin and it smells delicious. I started using this now, because I like the smell a lot more than the chamomile one haha.

Aaaand, I never suffered from dry spots on my face in combination to the use of Garnier's new BB cream!

Garnier BB-cream: Miracle Skin Perfector

Hey girls!

Today, I'm going to compare the 2 BB creams from Garnier. I used the one for normal skin last summer and a part of this summer, but recently I decided to give the new one a try, because I gleamed always more than I wanted (especially on my nose and T-zone) and I always had to use a loose powder to prevent shininess. They both have 2 shades: light and medium, but I picked light for both of them.

The old BB cream, or the one for normal skin has a thick composition, like a day cream and it felt really light. Another plus is the smell. It smells subtle but deliciously fresh.
I always feared it would seem to dark when I put it on, even in the lightest tone, but after a few minutes, it melts together with your skin and it looks natural. The only thing I didn't like? I gleamed like I had been sweating all day! So my solution was using a loose powder. The result was fine, but after a while I got tired of the feeling of putting on a lot of make up. I like the natural look more and if I have to put on kilo's of powder on my face to achieve that, it wasn't worth it.

So, a few weeks ago, I decided to buy the new one for mixed to greasy skin, which I wanted to try since it came into the stores. The package is a slightly different form from the old one, and this wasn't the only different thing. The composition was soooo fluid, it ran out of the tube as soon as you turn it open, it was horrible. After one single week I had to wipe the opening clean, because it had smudged so much. But okay, I gave it a try.
The first week I used it without a day cream underneath it, only a primer from time to time (e.l.f. face primer, review may follow ) and everything seemed fine, my skin looked matte and healthy, it worked out well with a powder blush as well as a cream blush and it didn't slide of my face. The only minus, in contrast to the other one, is the smell. It smells like pure alcohol sometimes and that's absolutely not plesant when you're putting something on your face! I was so afraid it would dry out my skin. And then, a few days later, my fear became truth: my nose and parts of my cheeks became a little flaky, something I only notice when it's extremely cold. So I was thinking I should stop with this BB cream, but since I was so happy about it, I decided to buy me an extra hydrating day and night cream ( Yves Rocher, with aloe vera ) and now my face feels soft as a babyskin again!

Conclusion: the BB creams from Garnier both have their strong points but also a few annoying qualities. But when I had to choose between the two, I would pick the one for mixed to greasy skin, because the result is a lot better actually, for my skin.
